We are very excited to announce that we will be closing the current location of the library next week, Wednesday, July 15, so we can move to our new location on South Springfield Street!!!!!
We have been preparing for this through the summer, while also balancing summer reading programming and activities.
So, we stopped accepting donations and purchasing new items earlier. You may have noticed our epic fire sale in the lobby of books and audiobooks we weeded. 🙂
We also have now halted all programming, except for our Monday Matinees on Monday afternoons at the Performing Arts Center through July 20 and our Storytimes, now Thursday afternoons, at the Farmers Market.
We are on track to open in our new location in early August, and we will confirm that date once we have our brand-new shelves in hand.
While we are closed, we will not be able to accept any returns, check out any materials, or provide access to computers or faxing, copying, printing, and notary services. We will be spending that time moving our 40,000+ collection, as well as our programming and crafting supplies and some select furniture.
All your books checked out from Berryville before that time will not be due back until after we reopen, so stock up while we’re still open!
When we are closed, you can also visit our sister libraries in Eureka Springs, Green Forest, and Madison County to access library services. And our digital resources and databases are always available.
In the meantime, be sure to report your summer reading to us by July 10. You will have a chance to keep reading while we are closed and report back after we reopen. Stop by the library to learn more!
